Protecting and Styling your Deck

Deck Sealant Protection

This Wednesday is going to officially be the first day of Autumn… which is a warm welcome for many!  This time of year is the perfect time to take advantage of getting a few things done around the outside of the home.  Although I do agree that we spend most of our time indoors, I believe that if you had a nice outdoor room to enjoy, you would probably be surprised how much time you would spend on it.

I have never had a sealed or stained deck before so now that I do, I personally feel that my home has a whole new feel to it. I love the hint of color that helps give it an updated look.  The sealant is also a great way to protect the longevity of your deck.

Outdoor entertainment and al fresco dining this time of year can turn your home into a comfortable way to entertain guest without the hassle of messing up your home.  Investing in an outdoor living space is something that I would love to see more people do! It helps bring people out in the fresh air but with all the comforts of your living room.

The sealant on this deck is the color cedar and comes in 5 gallon buckets and is something that Shaw Building keeps in stock. We can also special order a variety of other colors if you are looking for something specific.  Sealant for the 5 gallon buckets generally run around $100.00 .

I find that with this investment, you will in the long run end up saving several hundred dollars.
